China has the worst human rights record in the world. They buy Steel and Aluminum at huge discount from us , Pay very cheap labor rates often so low it takes a whole family working around the clock to meet basic living conditions, and have been known to use child labor in sweet factories. Canada as a result will not let Chinese EV's into our market and China as such has imposed 100% Tariff on our canola. Of course this means our Canola farmers are hit hard and are really upset with the Federal government. News flash the rest of the civized world has done similar to try and sway them to improve their record. While we do need EV's to make our targets, we can't accept cars so cheap in price that it undercuts and damages our auto Industry and condones bad human rights violations.
