Net Zero by 2050

Under the agreement with the Paris climate accord we must be Net Zero by 2050. This means all production
across this nation must be by means of green renewable resources by that date. All heating and power used in homes
must also be by renewable resources by 2035. All fossil Fuel vehicles must be off the road by 2040.

Governments of all forms have been slow to act both here and abroad. The main issue is costs and fear
that the public might not re-elect them if they do what is right. Climate change is real and our Planet is dying
and we have noone to blame but us.

It is hypothesized that MARS once had an Atmosphere similar to Earth. Stuck by a huge meteor many moons
ago the atmosphere was ripped away leaving a very thin atmosphere unable to support life. Here on Earth
we also had a similar event wipping out the dinosaurs. Man evolved and has been trying to inflick planetary
damage too. We use to use a type of airisol that produced CF's that damaged our Ozone layer and not
replaceable. The Ozone layer protects us from harmfull cosmic radiation that heats the planet so
we stopped using the old style airisols.

Of our methods of energy go, Coal burning is the next most harmfull substance known. Coal releases
the most carbon dioxide (CO2) per unit of energy. Burning coal releases a range of pollutants, including
sulfur dioxide (contributes to acid rain and respiratory issues) and particulate matter (contributes
to smog and respiratory problems). In Canada, Alberta and Nova Scotia were the biggest users of Coal for
electricty production but Alberta has finally shut down the last Coal burning station. The USA still rely
heavy on Coal power generation at 600 times what Canada was using and China at 8 times what the USA uses.
Alberta is not off the hook. It plans to mine Coal for export and in talks with an Australian firm to headup
the project

Now we come to Oil and Gas production. To Extract Oil and gas, natural gas, and Propane/butane/kerosine
and do the processing, Enormous amounts of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is generated. The world has been fighting
to have producers capture and store these harmfull emissions for a long time. Under the Paris climate
accord, emissions levels were set such that if attained our planet would survive and the disasters being
faced by people will diminish. Canada being part of the Paris climate accord Imposed a levy to force
the Industry to take action and they are managing to put some effort into emission capture. The former government
was set to increase the levy since the industry was barely doing any real capture. They also put emission caps
on so production would be restricted to safe levels. This has inflamed Premier Danielle Smith of Alberta
that the government is butting it's nose into provincial jurisdiction.
If the Industry captures more carbon
from being emitted, the levy against them goes down and there is more room under the cap for more
production. The sky above is the responcibility of the Federal government to manage pollutants.

PM Carney has offered to work with the Industry and the Premier to find better methods of reaching the goals
but court challenges and retaliations are NOT the way to meaningful conversation and action.

Gas and diesel used for public transportation was also levied and repesented 6% of total fossil
fuel emissions. Low income Canadians were given a rebate. PM Carney reduced the levy to 0 and plans to repeal
it entirely once cabinet sits. The rebate was also ended with a final payment in April.

Propane used Industrial equipment and recreational vehicles is far cleaner burning at 20% of that of gas and diesel.
A vehicle on propane emittes 1/5th that of a gas vehicle. Those with RV's like motorcoaches would be well advised
to covert them to EV or change them to be propane fueled.

Kerosine is the Primary fuel of Aircraft. The Aircraft Industry is actively testing out Solar-Electric Aircraft
with a norweigian plane opperating from Hong Kong to Hawaii daily. Boing is even researching a jumbo jet 747 to
be Solar-Electric

LNG or liquified natural gas is the next hot ticket item. It burns clean like Propane at 20% of that of
gas and diesel. Excelant for home heating and power generation objectives and in demand world wide. Right
now we can't get it market east or west but that is in the PM Carney plans. Alberta homes are heated with
Natural gas and we still use it in electricity generation. Danielle Smith is upset because
production of Natural gas has a levy due to carbon emissions in it;s production.

Hydro power is totally clean power sourced by dammed rivers or offshore waves. Being Carbon emission free
it is the first of the best way to be Net Zero.

Nuclear power is a close second. It's downfall is the dangerous spent fuel rods and cooling ponds that are
radioactive for centuries. We don't know how to break down the waste to make it harmless. Hypothetically,
we could launch them into space at the sun and let it be dealt with there but we don't know if that might
destabalize the sun and end our whole existance.

Geo-Thermal Power is another good choice. Net zero, it uses Earth ground heat to generate steam to run
power turbines and cycle the water for cooling. We have geo-thermal in Alberta running at 0.01% of total
use but we do have enough to provide 24 times what our total current need is.

Solar and Wind are also great Net Zero alternatives. Zero Emission in all regards but useless when the sun
doesn't shine or Wind does not blow. The energy can however be stored in Batteries when demand exceeds need.
It can often be even send back to the grid to save money on consumption.

The government could help Danielle Smith and the Industries. It could also offer incentives to the public
but the main sticking point is Conservative parties. Their mandate is to oppose anything that costs money
and doesn't directly line their pockets. Look at resent election, people of Canada voted in who they want
representing them and these representatives become MP's. The Liberal leader must choose from Liberal MP's
who is best suited to fill positions. The Conservatives complain it is the same look as the last Liberal
government with people just moved around.

Now look at the Energy sector, Industry needs Carbon capture
to be more efficient which in turn means more product for markets and lower prices at the consumer homes and
cars. If the Conservatives don't interfere we will have big expense but also higher return on investment
year after year. The public will also have less costs. Building pipelines west to east to north is another
major cost but this time the Conservatives would look pretty bad voting against it since they campagned for it.

The Federal Government could offer people incentives to install Solor systems on their homes, heat pumps,
and Instant on demand hot water systems. These can cut utilities by more than 30%. Imagine Gas bill down and
Electric down averaging about $200 on a bill formerly $300 a month. Will this happen? Not too likely, we are
at WAR a trade WAR and again it doesn't give the Conservatives any money. All of these are investment in our
future and therefore worthwhile. People buy a car cause they want one they get money from banks to do it because
they can pay it back over time.
